Every granite headstone ships fully insured via UPS Ground anywhere in the United States. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Here is exactly what to expect when you buy a headstone online from SilkStone.
Order Timeline
From Order to Delivery
Total time from order to delivery is typically 4-8 weeks. Here is what happens at each stage.
01.Order Placed
You place your order and our team begins preparing your digital proof with the engraving details you provided during customization.
02.Digital Proof
You receive a detailed digital proof via email showing exactly how your memorial will look. We offer revisions until you are satisfied with the proof.
03.Production
Once you approve the proof, our team begins hand-finishing your memorial. Each inscription is carefully engraved for a deep, lasting finish. The stone is then mirror-polished and hand-inspected.
04.Quality Check
We check the engraving accuracy, polish, and structure of every memorial before it ships. If anything is off, we fix it.
05.Shipping
Your memorial is packaged in a custom wooden crate with foam padding and fully insured, then shipped via UPS Ground. You receive tracking information via email.
06.Delivery
Your memorial is delivered via UPS Ground to your home or directly to the cemetery. Track your delivery via the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email.

We deliver to every state in the US. Your memorial ships via insured UPS Ground no matter where you are. Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Transparent Shipping Cost
Shipping cost depends on your location and is calculated at checkout. Our headstones ship via UPS Ground from our US workshop. No hidden surcharges or surprise fees.
Home or Cemetery Delivery
Choose where your memorial is delivered. We can ship directly to the cemetery for installation, or to your home if you prefer to arrange placement yourself.
Fully Insured Transit
Every shipment is fully insured from our workshop to your destination. In the unlikely event of damage during transit, we replace the memorial at no cost to you.
Be Prepared
What to Expect on Delivery Day
Track your delivery. Track your delivery via the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. You will be able to see estimated delivery dates and real-time status updates.
Delivered via UPS Ground. Your memorial (approximately 140 lbs) is delivered via UPS Ground to your address or cemetery.
Inspect the memorial. Before signing the delivery receipt, carefully inspect the packaging and the memorial itself. Check for any damage that may have occurred during transit. If you notice any issues, note them on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.
Installation. SilkStone Memorials does not provide installation services. Most cemeteries have staff or preferred installers who can place the marker for you.
Important: Please confirm with your cemetery that they accept a 28x16x3in flat granite marker before ordering.
