All Sales Are Final
Every SilkStone memorial is custom-made to order with your personalized engravings and designs. Because each stone is permanently customized to your specifications, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges.
Before Production
Before we begin sandblasting, we send you a finalized digital proof of your memorial for approval. This is your opportunity to review every detail, including names, dates, epitaph text, and design layout.
If you would like changes to the design, text, or layout, let us know before you approve the proof and we will revise it. In some cases, we can accommodate a change to a different stone with a payment adjustment.
Once you approve the digital proof, production begins and no further changes can be made.
After Production
Once sandblasting has started, the stone has been permanently engraved to your specifications. We cannot accept cancellations, returns, or refund requests for completed memorials.
Shipping Damage
All memorials ship via UPS Ground with full insurance coverage. If your memorial arrives damaged during transit, you must report it within 48 hours of delivery so we can immediately file an insurance claim.
To report shipping damage:
- 1.Take clear photos of the damaged packaging and stone
- 2.Email hello@silkstonememorial.com with your order number and photos
- 3.Do not discard the packaging until the claim is resolved
We will replace the memorial at no cost to you. Damage reported after 48 hours may not be eligible for a claim.
Natural Stone Variations
Granite is a natural material. Each slab has its own unique color, veining, and grain pattern. While we make every effort to ensure product photos are accurate, the exact appearance of your memorial may differ slightly from images on our website. Natural stone variations are not defects and are not grounds for a return or refund.
Cemetery Compliance
It is your responsibility to confirm with your cemetery that a 28x16x3in flat granite marker meets their size and style requirements before placing your order. SilkStone is not responsible for cemetery regulations and cannot issue refunds if a cemetery does not accept the marker.
