Custom Products
Every SilkStone memorial is custom-made to order with personalized engraving. Because of the custom nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns or issue refunds for completed memorials that match the approved digital proof. We encourage you to review your digital proof carefully before giving approval.
Cancellations Before Production
If you need to cancel your order before production begins, we will issue a full refund. Production starts after you approve your digital proof, so you have until that point to cancel without penalty.
To cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at hello@silkstonememorial.com. Include your order number in any communication.
Defective or Incorrect Work
If your memorial arrives with a defect in the stone (cracking, chipping, or material flaw) or with engraving that does not match your approved digital proof, we will remake and reship the memorial at no cost to you.
To report a defect or error, contact us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We will review the claim and respond within 2 business days.
Please note: if the engraving matches the proof you approved but contains a spelling or date error, this is not considered a production defect. This is why we ask you to review the digital proof very carefully before approving it.
Shipping Damage
All memorials are shipped with full insurance coverage. If your memorial arrives with damage caused during shipping, please do the following:
- 1.Note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing
- 2.Take photos of the damaged packaging and memorial
- 3.Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number
We will file an insurance claim and either repair or replace the memorial at no cost to you. Replacement memorials are produced and shipped as quickly as possible.
Natural Stone Variations
Granite is a natural material. Slight variations in color, veining, and grain pattern are inherent characteristics of natural stone and are not considered defects. While we make every effort to ensure product photos are accurate, the exact appearance of your memorial may differ slightly from the images on our website. These natural variations are not grounds for a refund or exchange.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been issued. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take an additional 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
